Privacy Policy
Effective August 21, 2026
Strength in Faith is a private athletic training platform. Athletes join only by invitation from their coach; there is no public sign-up. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what control you have over it.
Who this covers
This policy applies to the Strength in Faith mobile app and website, used by athletes, their parents or guardians, and coaching staff.
What we collect
Account information
Your name, email address, and password (stored only as a cryptographic hash — we never see it). Optionally a profile photo, short bio, sport, graduating class, school, location, and playing position.
Training data
Workouts assigned to you and what you log against them: exercises, sets, repetitions, weights, effort ratings, personal records, and session timestamps.
Health and wellness information
Daily readiness check-ins (sleep, soreness, energy, stress), breathing and breath-hold entries, and any height, weight, or performance measurements you or your coach record. We treat this as the most sensitive data in the app.
Nutrition information
Food logs, nutrition targets, and meal plans, where you or your coach choose to use those features.
Device information
A push notification token if you enable notifications, your time zone, and basic technical logs (error reports and request timing) used to keep the service working.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not share your data with advertisers.
- We do not use your data for advertising or ad targeting.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
How your information is used
Your data is used to operate the service and nothing else: to show your coach your training and readiness so they can program for you, to show you your own history and progress, to send notifications you have opted into, and to diagnose technical problems.
Who can see your data
Your coaching staff. Coaches responsible for your team can see your training, check-ins, and measurements. Access is scoped to the athletes a coach is actually responsible for.
Your parent or guardian, if your coach has linked a parent account to yours. Parents see a limited view — attendance, schedule, report cards, and material your coach has explicitly marked as parent-visible. Parents do not see your raw check-in responses.
Platform administrators, for support and maintenance.
Other athletes cannot see your data.
Service providers
We use a small number of vendors to run the service. They process data on our instructions only:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
- Vercel — application hosting.
- Resend — transactional email (invitations, password resets).
- Apple and Google — push notification delivery.
- Sentry — error reporting.
- Anthropic — optional AI-assisted nutrition drafting.
AI-assisted features
Some nutrition planning features can use an AI model to draft a plan for a coach to review. These features are off unless enabled, and consent is recorded before an athlete's information is used this way. Drafts are reviewed by a human coach before you see them, and this information is not used to train third-party AI models.
Athletes under 18
The platform is used by youth athletes. Accounts are created only through a coach invitation, and a parent or guardian may be linked to a minor athlete's account. We collect only what the coaching relationship needs. Parents and guardians may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their child's information by contacting us or their coach.
Deleting your account
You can permanently delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account inside the app. This erases your profile, workout history, personal records, check-ins, and nutrition logs. It cannot be undone.
Backups are retained for a short period for disaster recovery and then expire.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is removed as described above.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access is enforced at the database level so that a coach can only reach athletes they are responsible for, and a parent can only reach their own child. Passwords are hashed. Accounts support multi-factor authentication.
Your rights
You may request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or delete your account outright. Deletion is available in the app; for the others, contact us.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date above and notify account holders.
